Unless required to by law, your details will never be passed to a third party for any reason. We will only use your information for the purpose of fulfilling orders placed by you and adding you to our email list to advise you of future introductions, special offers, courses or events etc.
On placing an order by telephone or via the website, you will be added to our email list. However should you not wish to receive mailings, please contact us and your name will be removed.
Terms & Conditions
Please read our Terms and Conditions before you buy items on the website or by mail order. If you have any questions please ask before you purchase an item. None of our Terms of Service affect your statutory rights.
These Terms of Service apply to all sales via our website and mail order.
1. PRODUCT SPECIFICATION:
Furniture, interiors and fashion items and courses within Sabi&Co premises or at other venues due to the nature of the courses.
Most of our products for sale are genuine Vintage or antique items and will be clearly described as such. It is likely their condition will reflect their age and any significant wear, markings, etc. will be highlighted. Vintage or antique condition is not considered damaged or faulty. If you want a condition report please contact us before purchasing. By buying from Sabi&Co you agree to accept the products as they are photographed and described. Once the product has been delivered, Sabi&Co cannot be held responsible for any deterioration or damage through usage, by the recipient. Please ensure you note the dimensions of any product before purchase
We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this site at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this site. This includes any item that has already been sold but please get in touch if you would like us to attempt to source a similar item for you. We cannot guarantee that this will be possible due to the nature of the items we sell.
All of the furniture we sell is vintage or antique. Some items of furniture or interior items are up to 300 years old so please do bear in mind that it will show signs of usage and will not be in brand new condition. We do restore or upcyle furniture and this will be made clear in the description of the item. Should you wish to purchase unrestored items please let us know as we understand that some customers do not want antiques to be restored but prefer them in their current state before restoration.
When putting items such as coffee cups or vases on painted and varnished surfaces we advise that you use coasters to protect the paint. The surfaces have been treated with many layers of paint, varnish and oil but we cannot guarantee that accessories, crockery and cookware won’t damage the finish.
All of our upholstered furniture has been stripped, rebuilt with new foam/wadding, interlined and then recovered with brand new upholstery weight fabric by a highly trained professional upholsterer. All upholstered items comply with current fire retardant regulations.
We provide approximate dimensions of furniture but access for delivery to your room of choice is your responsibility.
All prices exclude delivery. They also exclude any special requests made by customers eg additional embellishments, paintwork or upholstery.
Sabi&Co accepts payment via PayPal and credit/debits cards.
Safeguarding your financial and personal information is one of our most important priorities. All information taken for the purpose of purchasing an item will be held in strictest confidence and in compliance with current regulations.
All items, large or small can be collected from us in Dundee or Pittenweem. Alternatively, we shall arrange delivery anywhere in the UK through one of our couriers, and will quote prior to purchase if you email us your postcode and details of which item you are interested in.
If you are unable to take delivery of your goods on the confirmed delivery date, we reserve the right to charge you for any subsequent deliveries.
If a courier company damages goods in the course of delivery, then our liability for that damage is limited to the repair, refund or replacement of the goods or the value.
Delivery and postage prices quoted are for UK mainland delivery. We are always happy to quote for posting overseas. Please email us for a quote. Any customs or import charges levied on overseas deliveries are the responsibility of the recipient.
6. RETURNS & REFUNDS:
We will accept returns of all items except those made-to-order. Please inform us within 48 hours of delivery that you wish to return an item. They must be returned within 14 days. Once received we will refund in full less any delivery charges (unless the goods are faulty or incorrect) within 5 working days. Please ensure you get a proof of postage when returning items.
We make every effort to show every product as accurately as possible but due to limitations and differences between monitors there may be slight colour differences to those displayed.
We endeavour to ensure the accuracy of our website however it is possible some errors may occur. We will make every effort to rectify any errors as soon as possible but we cannot be held responsible.
We are entitled to refuse any order placed by you on our website or by mail order.
Any material downloaded or obtained from our website is done entirely at your own risk.
Please note that whilst we will make every effort and reasonable care to keep your order details and payment secure, we cannot be responsible for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any information that you supply, when accessing or ordering from the Sabi&Co website.
In the unlikely event, that there is an error in the cost of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible, but shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product that was shown with an incorrect price.
If you have ordered and paid for a product, where the cost shown on our website is incorrect. We shall email you to advise that we have not accepted your order and that it has been cancelled . We shall give a full refund to the same account that the funds were originally taken from. You shall be advised of the correct cost of the product and are able to re-order it, if you wish to do so, as a new transaction.
If you receive goods that are either damaged or defective, or not what you ordered, you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the order and we will then arrange to refund the costs of the goods and any shipping costs, once returned and received back to Jay & Co, unless we inform you that the return is not necessary. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We do not accept any liability for any errors and/or omissions contained on our website and reserve the right to change information, prices and descriptions of products listed, at any time and without notice.
We strive to give the most accurate information we can, relating to dimensions, condition and provenance or age of the product, but can give no guarantee as to the accuracy of this information. Many of the pieces we sell are vintage and show age related wear, consistent with their age and use.
We have provided the most accurate representations of each product for sale on the website, though due to a number of varying factors, such as internet browsers etc., we cannot be held responsible or liable for any differences in colour between the image and the actual product itself.
We will not be liable to you or any third party by our withdrawing any product from this site, whether or not that product has been sold.
Sabi&Co cannot be held responsible or liable for your use of any websites that are accessible from this website, as we do not have any control or responsibility for these. Any such links should not be viewed as an endorsement or an affiliation with Jay & Co.
We cannot be held responsible for any delay in the delivery of your order unless that is due to negligence on our part.
Woodworm / Woodboring Beetle / Common Furniture Beetle – our vintage pieces of wooden furniture may have evidence of old woodworm. We treat anything that may, or may not, have evidence of worm, however it is impossible to be 100% certain that this treatment is totally effective and we take no responsibility for any damage caused to furniture supplied, or to surrounding furniture or building materials.
Sabi&Co shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation, or implied condition, guarantee, or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence for any indirect special or resultant loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), expenses, costs or other claims for compensation whatsoever, which arise out of, or in connection with the use of the Sabi&Co website, the sale of their products or their use of resale by you.
11. COPYRIGHT & TRADEMARK:
All the content on the Sabi&Co’s website, which includes photographs, logos, pictures, copy and any other materials, represent the copyright or registered trademark of Sabi&Co. The reproduction, modification, copying, circulation or incorporation of any content on the Sabi&Co website is forbidden, with the exception of copying, printing or downloading material for the sole purpose of using the website in good faith or for non-commercial reasons unless previously agreed in writing with Sabi&Co.
The majority of fashion items are preloved. If they are not this will be stated on their price label.
Designer items are authentic. Should you believe them not to be please return them to us. However if accept items from owners as being authentic they are bound to show proof of this.
Should an item prove to be non authentic a full refund will be given.
Fashion items are not for rental. They are for purchase and should an item be returned that shows evidence of having been worn by the purchaser a refund will be refused.
Any damage that is present with a garment or accessory will be investigated and compared with photographs on the website and on our stock control imaging.
Should an item be returned that was not purchased but stolen it is our policy to inform the authorities.
Courses may be booked online and fees paid in full in advance of the course.
Should a course participant need to cancel their booking a full refund will be offered if the cancellation is within one month of the course commencement date. Should the cancellation be within two weeks 50% of the booking will be refunded. A course booking is non transferable unless Sabi&Co need to cancel a course for unforeseen circumstances.
All courses have a minimum participation number. Should this not be reached two weeks before the date of commencement of the course all customers who have booked a place on the course will be advised that the course cannot go ahead and offered a full refund or an alternative course date.
All course vouchers must be used by the final date for usage stated on the voucher. Some courses will last for more than one day and participants must ensure that they are available on all dates or accept no refund for any dates that they cannot attend due to their personal commitments.
Any antisocial behaviour, including any discriminatory comments will not be tolerated and an attendee may be asked to leave the course without refund should an initial warning to cease and desist be ignored.
When catering is provided for any course participants must advise us of any dietary requirements or allergies in advance. We shall do our best to cater for all dietary requirements and in addition suggest that participants bring their own food and drink should we be unable to do so safely for all participants.
